Wiko Rainbow Lollipop 5.x ROMs (Cyanogen CM 12.1 / x) are there!
No kidding. It's finally here. There were a lot of hoaxes and frauds about the "never-coming" Update for the Wiko Rainbow and a lot of blogs and reviewers had their clicks by generating fake news about official Lollipop updates or ROMs (which were only re-skinned 4.4.2 ROMs) or missunderstood press gibbirish from spain. But forget about all that. get the new Wiko Rainbow Lollipop ROM CM 12.1. Your device will love your for it even though there are some minor bugs left. Read on:
I was following some of the Wiko Rainbow Lollipop ROM projects for quite some time. Fortunatly two of them now reached a status for the daily use.
The one project is an unofficial CM 12.1-build which reached fninally a stable Level. Still it has these mior flaws. Most of them can be work'arounded:
On top of this I have a "problem" with the system-sounds and ringtones. It's actually not really a problem but the sounds are all veeerrrrrrry loud. I have to put my phone into vibration-only mode at work. I pointed that out and the developers are on it by now hopefully.
You will need the following three things for the 5.1.x Lollipop CM 12.1 ROM:
Recovery for CM 12.1
Wiko Rainbow Lollipop CM 12.1 ROM
Wiko Rainbow Lollipop CM 12.1 gApps

Before doing this: Under some circumstances, you might loose your IMEI and get a NVRAM-error. So backup it. Both are easy to fix BUT: PLEASE DO THIS FIRST. IT WILL SAVE YOU WORK LATER. If somethig goes wrong, you will have to rewrite it after the flashing process - MAYBE. Just wanted to mention.
On a rooted device with working recovery just do the following (on your own risk):
It's pretty much failsave. Some people say "you have to be on this or that version"... but I never cared. Still: On your own risk:For now... let's do this:
- Copy these three files on the external SD
- Do a backup (with titanium or even better with clockwork or whatever)
- Boot to recovery
- Flash the CM 12.1 Recovery (It's PhilZ Touch Recovery 6.59.0 I think)
- Reboot into system
- Reboot into recovery
- Do a factory reset
- Wipe everything (but your external files) on the internal SD
- Chose "clean to install a new ROM"
- Install the CM 12.1 ROM
- Reboot to System
- Reboot to Recovery
- Install gApps-Package
- Reboot to system
If you are coming from an unrooted device:
- Copy these three files to your the external SD:
- Do a backup (with titanium or even better with clockwork or whatever you got)

- Root your device with King-Root.
- Install RASHR from Google Play.
- Install the recovery via RASHR.
- Boot to recovery.
- Reboot into recovery
- Do a factory reset
- Wipe everything (but your external files) on the internal SD
- Chose "clean to install a new ROM"
- Install the CM 12.1 ROM
- Reboot to System
- Reboot to Recovery
- Install gApps-Package
- Reboot to system
To recover from NVRAM-error, install:
There are two alternative methods.
- One via SP_Flashtool (Tutorial HERE)
- The other via a flashable zip-file. XDA-Developer Thread: HERE
To restore your IMEIs:
